SKIP O’BRIEN

I defy anyone to look this hot…while recovering from an injury that required surgery leaving stitches in your leg and a huge bandage on your knee. Oh, and at the same time being in the best spirits and perfectly sweet and kind as anyone could hope to be.

Let me introduce you to one class act, Skip O’Brien.

If you’ve been fortunate enough to run in to Skip out and about, you know that I speak only the truth. This interior/exterior designer by day/and self proclaimed “sweaty guy at the club” by night is the complete package…and I mean that literally and figuratively. Skip has the ability to completely put folks at ease, and cast his smittenness (is that a word?) spell on you.

Back in 2013, Skip and I shot together in the Marin Headlands section of Sausalito. It was our first time meeting, and we got along famously…and made some really hot photos while we were at it. But even then we always knew we wanted to move our collaboration into the studio, so we could explore…setups…that aren’t appropriate for a family, coastal park. Earlier this year, we made plans to shoot during my April visit to LA. As it turned out, Skip had an accident on the set of a promotional video he was making a couple of weeks before our scheduled session. He had to go through surgery and recovery. Skip and I began dancing the delicate dance of…”I’m not sure I’ll be at my best…” and “I only want to shoot with you if you feel you’re up to it…” kind of a Tango. In the end, I told Skip if he was up to it, so was I, and we would work within whatever restrictions he needed to stay comfortable and healthy.

No matter what things he had going on that would have limited most of us mere mortals, they didn’t have any effect on him whatsoever. Between camera angles, creative poses and Skip’s never-ending willingness to push the envelope…like I said…I defy anyone to look as hot as Skip does in these photos.

All I can say is, I had a blast working with Skip that day.
And I’d be honored to work with him again in the future.
